HOW YOU CAN ARRIVE       

By car

 

 

 

From the Genoa-Livorno highway:

  • He who comes from Genoa must exit at Carrodano, reach Levanto and there, before going under the railroad, turn to the left toward La Spezia / Vernazza; at about 7 km. there is the junction to La Spezia on the left: take it and go on for 1,700 km.;

  • he who comes from La Spezia / Parma / Livorno must exit the highway at Brugnato, go towards La Spezia, following the Via Aurelia for about 10 km., up to Piandibarca, where he must turn right towards Levanto; after 13 km., after crossing Pignone and the Vernazza junction (on the left), he’ll reach the Sanctuary.

By bus

It’s absolutely advisable to always exit at Brugnato.

By train

It can be reached from the Levanto station (where there is parking) or from the Monterosso one (where there are comfortable taxis). The two stations are on the railroad line Genoa - La Spezia and are connected with direct Intercity trains to all the major italian cities (Milano, Venezia, Torino, Bologna, Firenze, Roma, Napoli etc.), as well as to some foreign cities, like Schaffhausen, Lyon, Marseille etc.

By foot

Along the CAI trail #1, which comes up from Monterosso (in about 1 and a half-hour), or the one, which comes from Levanto (2 and a half-hours) and from Punta Mesco (3 hours).

 

Attached to the Sanctuary there are guest quarters which offer hospitality, rooms and an excellent restaurant to all who wish to spend some brief resting time in a location serene by nature and most of all suitable to the rest of the soul.
